Dr. Okechukwu John Mbonu
Dr. Mbonu served as a Director in PwC Nigeria between 2009 and 2014 where he led multiple strategy planning engagements. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Leone Brewery Limited (SLBL), Sierra Leone.
Dr Mbonu started his career as an engineer with Nigerian Breweries Plc in 1982 and rose to the position of Engineering Manager in 1992. In 1996, he was “seconded” to Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) to set up the Special Intensive Technical Training Programme (SITP) for fresh graduates. He returned to Nigerian Breweries Plc in January 1999 and served as the Executive Director, Human Resource and Customer Service before his secondment to Sierra Leone.
Dr Mbonu holds a BSc (First Class Honours, 1977) and a PhD (1982) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK.
